It is preferable if it is a medium sized, bound book with numbered pages (pages can tend to go missing).<\/p>\n<p>The contact book is about the children with regards to their needs and anything else you think\u00a0could be\u00a0relevant.<\/p>\n<p>Keep it very simple and respectful; positive and child focused.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Remember, Magistrates like to read communication books.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Emails or text messages can\u00a0soon get out of hand when emotions are high\u00a0and the ability to instantaneously fire a retaliatory rocket in return. STOP!<\/p>\n<p>This book is<strong>\u00a0NOT<\/strong> about child support, court matters or money. It\\&#8217;s about your children, <strong>NOT<\/strong> you.<\/p>\n<p>Lead by example!. Don\\&#8217;t\u00a0automatically expect\u00a0the communication you send will be returned with the equal amount of openness and honesty.<\/p>\n<p>You lead with the high road. Very short and simple. No \\&#8217;war and peace\\&#8217; ..<\/p>\n<p>Possibly think \\&#8221;what would I like the other parent to tell me about, when\u00a0the child\\\\ren were in their care?\\&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Examples of what should be in the book are;<\/p>\n<p>\\&#8221;We all had a good few days.
